Proud to be from Taiping

Hi there,

Just a short prom
o for my hometown, Taiping. Although I am from Taiping, I have most definitely taken for granted God's wonderful natural creation in Taiping. The beauty can very much be compared to the Sound of Music song with a verse that goes "The Hills are alive, with the sound of music". Nothing can be further from the truth as the hills, green fields and clear lakes seem to ooze out melody just by looking at them.

I have left Taiping for approximately 6 years now, working in Ipoh. This I am certain, there is no place in Ipoh with sceneries such as Taiping. Hence, last weekend I decided to drop by Taiping once again. Equipped with my Nikon DSLR, I wish to o
nce again look into the beauty of Taiping through my camera lens.

I arrived on Saturday evening and first stop was the Lake Gardens. A bit disappointed with the rather bad lighting as most of the clouds were blocking the sunlight. However, I've got to make the best out of it. Looking up, I found that the clouds were begin
ning to form a unique texture in the sky. It is as if God had a paintbrush and drew a painting in the sky that even Leonardo Da Vinci couldn't match.

Taiping is also one of the places you could get landscapes with green fields and lakes. But what struck me was the formation of trees that seem to enveloped the roads creating a natural shade of green. Well, look at the photos for yourself.

Next morning, both Pei Pei and I head off to Maxwell Hill. Armed with my NIKON DSLR, I hope to capture some good photos for my collection. I was not disappointed as the day before it rained and it created a interesting damp look on my photos. Coupled with soft light from the morning sun, I had managed to get some interesting shots. For info, all the shots were barely in need of post processing. Just a little crop here and there.

For those of you who haven't been to Taiping, I recommend you to drop by. For me, I am looking forward for more trips back to Taiping to make up for the lost appreciation I have for my hometown.

Cheers!!
